Original Mixed Media Collage - "Bird Talk - Audubon Doves"

Imagine what birds would say if we could hear their thoughts…using vintage ephemera papers, old wallpaper scraps, maps of favorite locations and snippets of dialogue from old books, I have designed a series of conversations that I imagine birds might have. This composition is a tribute to John James Audubon and his love of birds.

The composition is created on a wood substrate and is meant to stand alone on its own - on a shelf, on a table top or wherever it might give you a snicker throughout the day. Every surface is covered with complementary papers which help tell the story of the piece. The collage uses original papers and the surfaces are protected with a layer of paste wax that is buffed to a matte finish.

Dimensions of this composition are 4” x 6” x 2”

There is a hole on the back panel that can be used to hang the collage from a nail if desired.
