There are times, as shown in the present days, that it is best to focus on what can bring you joy…or at the very least, provide a moment of calm. I’m thankful that I have a space where I can jump into paper, glue, thread or fabric and make whatever calls to me. I realize that not everyone has the space or the time or the materials to be creative…so it’s one of the reasons why I like to offer simple workshops…providing a space with materials and inspiration so that you can do as you wish for a hour or two of time.
I’m offering a fun Corrugated Cardboard Journal workshop on Saturday, February 21 from 1-4 pm in Everett. All the details, including the registration information can be found here on my website.
Given the ubiquitous nature of cardboard, along with junk mail, it’s a lesson in discovering that creating doesn’t rely on fancy techniques nor expensive supplies. I hope you’ll join me.
Also wanted to let you know about another practice that I’ve been trying to be more consistent about…sending messages of support. I’ve created a few sets of original collage cards that are available for sale if you like to send out either Valentines or Galentines to friends and family - here’s the link to my shop.
Taking a moment…whether to create, catch your breath, connect with a friend - you deserve to enjoy a bit of calm.
