Greetings!
If you are like me, now that it’s December, my to-do list is much too long…so I’m going to make this newsletter short and sweet.
Top of most lists is the gift list - what to get, where to get it, how to get it done. I have a couple of suggestions for you…
If you are local to the Everett/Seattle area, I will be a vendor at this community-focused holiday festival. Its the only holiday event I am doing this season. I’ll have plenty of art creations, from the simple (mini collage journals) to the more elaborate (original collage compositions). The event will be held in Mountlake Terrace, 22002 64th Ave W, Suite A. The event is free to attend but we are asking for donations (canned goods or monetary donations) for the local food bank. I hope you’ll mark it on your calendar!
If you are not local but still want one of my art creations, check out my shop on my website. I will have Scrap Fabric Banners, Photo Collages and a few original collage creations. Due to the craziness of the world, I am only shipping to US continental addresses - sorry…the tariff shenanigans makes it too hard on artists!
If none of those work for you…here’s an idea…something quick and easily handmade, using items you likely have at the house - empty jars and mismatched wool socks or holey wool sweaters…
Here’s the link (on my old blog) that explains in simple detail, how to make these candles. And if you have a few leftover, they can decorate your holiday table.
And lastly - give the gift of food…a donation to your local food bank in honor of your favorite loved one. Wherever you live, I can guarantee that there are people in your community who do not have enough to eat. Make a simple card and let your friend/family loved one know of your donation in their name.
Whatever you do to celebrate the holidays, I hope that you find peace and a bit of calm. Thank you for your support of my artistic life…grand wishes for now and into the new year.
