Autumn 2026

October 15, 2026

I’ve just returned from a trip to Eastern Canada…and what a difference three weeks makes here at home…the leaves are turning, the air is much cooler, and the days are definitely shorter.

I’ve been busy over the summer with a few smaller projects…so in keeping things shorter, let me provide a bullet list of things that may interest you.

  • I’m pleased to be included in the current issue of Uppercase magazine. My article about the path I have taken in my art practice is one of several addressing “how one gets from there to here.” Uppercase is one of my favorite periodicals - edited and published by Janine Vangool, it focuses on the work of artisans around the world. If you don’t know this magazine, I encourage you to check it out (and become a subscriber!)

  • Four of my collage compositions will be included in the Parklane Gallery Winter Small Works show. Focusing on smaller art works that are perfect for gift giving, the show runs November to December with art work for sale at the Gallery and online. Details here Parklane Gallery.

  • I’ve been commissioned to design and create 25 holiday ornaments that will decorate trees at the Evergreen Arboretum and Gardens here in Everett. I am one of three artists to be featured in the Garden for the month of December. Using recycled materials, these ornaments highlight my love of birds! Details on location of the Gardens and their winter events are here Evergreen Arboretum.

  • I have two workshops I am offering in November…thought it would be good for everyone to have a little creative playtime before the holidays take over!

Small Tin Treasures - Saturday, November 7, 1-4pm in Everett

Collage Cubes - Sunday, November 15, 1-4pm in Everett

All the details on each workshop, including registration can be found on my website here Workshops

I’m ending up this month another year older…I’ve always found this quote most appropriate, whatever your age…
